Atomizers are one of the most important things to look at when buying or assembling a vape. What is an atomizer? Simply put, an atomizer is the bit of a vaporizer that emits your vapor. They’re found on most eliquid vaporizers and a few wax vaporizers. There are a few different kinds of atomizers with various functions and prices.
When you’ve only just been introduced to vaping, the amount of new information can be intimidating. For your convenience, we’ve composed a small crash course on atomizers. Without further ado, let us begin!
Disposable Clearomizer Tanks
As the name implies, once this atomizer is shot, all you have to do is replace it. The upside to disposable atomizers is that they’re cheap and easy to replace. On the downside, the vapor production and quality is lacking.
In addition to the poor quality, they become more expensive to buy over time, due to their short lifespan.
This atomizer type is popular among new vapers, as it should be. If you’re initiated to vaping, you should switch over to an atomizer that’s more cost-efficient long-term. This atomizer is great for those who have only just gotten into vaping, and want to see how they enjoy it without breaking the bank.
Replaceable Coil-Head Atomizers
The replaceable coil-head atomizer is common among new vapers, and for good reason. They’re useful for those that want to give vaping a try without spending a lot of money. They’re typically not extremely expensive, although the price will exceed that of disposable vaporizers initially. However, they last much longer. If you’re making a long-term purchase decision, you’ll save money with this one in the end.
In addition to this, replaceable coil-head atomizers have adjustable airflow and are made with higher quality materials. This will make your vaping sessions more enjoyable, customizable, and premium feeling.
The overall vapor quality of replaceable coil-head atomizers is also a lot better than that of disposables, but if you decide you’re vaping for the long-haul, you’re probably going to want to try an RBA instead.
Rebuildable Atomizers (RBA)
Rebuildable Atomizers, commonly abbreviated as RBA, are for the vapor enthusiasts. They feature only the highest vapor quality as well as the most customization options.
With an RBA, your clouds will be bigger and your flavor will be better. You’ll be paying more up front, but in the long run, you will be spending less than you would with disposable or replaceable atomizers.
After the initial purchase, there shouldn’t be a lot of other purchases involved in your vaping life. In fact, all you really have to buy is canthal and wicking, both of which are relatively inexpensive, especially when bought in bulk.
Although further purchases are often not necessary, getting your RBA ready is a bit more involved than the others. I won’t get into the process here, but you should know that it is more time consuming than simply replacing a coil.
We hope this article has helped you decide which atomizer you need. Are you someone who likes to vape, but doesn’t have the time (or just doesn’t want to exert the energy) that comes with an RBA? If this is the case, replaceable atomizers may be the way to go.
Do you want only the best and cheapest vapor experience, regardless of lost time? RBA’s may just be for you!
In most cases, I advise people to stay away from disposables, unless it’s your first time vaping and you want to spend as little as possible while trying it out.
